Without Opposition there is no multiplication
Without Opposition there is no multiplication
*Growing Stronger Under Pressure*
*Scripture*
> “But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel.”
— Exodus 1:12 (NKJV)
*Multiplication in the Midst of Opposition*
In this verse, the children of Israel are living in Egypt under harsh oppression. Pharaoh feared their growth and tried to suppress them through heavy labor and affliction. Yet, instead of breaking them, the hardship only caused them to grow stronger and multiply.
This is a reminder that:
A. God’s people are resilient because His hand is upon them.
B. Opposition can become the very environment where spiritual growth happens.
C. What the enemy means for harm, God can turn into a platform for His purpose.
Like the Israelites, we may face seasons where the pressure feels overwhelming. But in those seasons, God can cause us to grow in faith, character, and influence—often more than in times of ease.
*Reflection Questions*
1. How have I seen God use hardship to strengthen me?
2. Do I view pressure as a threat or as an opportunity for growth?
3. Am I trusting God to multiply His work in my life even when I feel pressed down?
*Prayer*
Lord God, thank You that You are with me in every season, even in the times of affliction. Help me to trust that no opposition can stop Your purposes for my life. Use the challenges I face to deepen my faith, strengthen my resolve, and increase my spiritual fruitfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
