Jesus rose on the first day of the week. But here’s the thing: the Bible never says that made Sunday the Sabbath or a new holy day.
The resurrection is honored through baptism, not a change of day — Romans 6:3-5 says baptism is the memorial of His death and resurrection. God never replaced His Sabbath with Sunday in honor of it.
No verse commands Sunday worship — Search from Matthew to Revelation. 4 define the Sabbatu as the Lord’s Day, none define Sunday as such. Every command about the Sabbath still points to the seventh day (Luke 23:54–56; Acts 13:42–44).
Tradition changed the day, not Jesus — Mark 2:28 says He is Lord of the Sabbath, and Isaiah 58:13 calls the Sabbath “the Lord’s holy day.” That’s the only day God ever claimed as His own.
If we really love and honor the risen Christ, shouldn’t we worship Him on the day He says belongs to Him?
