One of the ways demons operate is by taking something small and turning it into something overwhelming. They don’t usually create the weakness, they amplify it until it controls your life.
Fear becomes crippling, anxiety and depression that won’t let you move forward.
Rage, anger, and fury are pushed over the edge until relationships are shattered and destruction follows you everywhere.
OCD and compulsions are amplified until your daily life is dominated and controlled.
A simple diagnosis of pain or disease is intensified as the demonic realm attaches itself to the affliction.
Lust is amplified past desire, dragging it into sexual perversion and bondage.
And the list goes on and on. Consider the areas where you struggle. Are you afraid of rejection? Do you feel the need to be in control? Are you always distracted? Do you struggle with relationships? These will be the areas the enemy attacks in your life.
Demons weaponize your weaknesses against you. What begins as a thought, a feeling, or a struggle gets magnified until it consumes your mind, body, and relationships.
This is why deliverance is necessary. We don’t fight against flesh and blood, we fight against the unseen realm that takes our weaknesses and turns them into strongholds. When the amplifiers are cast out, then the strongholds can be torn down, and the flesh can be crucified. This is much more difficult without taking away the amplification.
Romans 8:13: “For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.”
2 Corinthians 10:3–5
“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
The enemy magnifies to destroy, but Jesus sets free.
