RESURRECTION SUNDAY

THE FAVOUR OF GOD IS AT WORK IN YOUR LIFE.

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved - Ephesians 2:5

We have been raised up together with Christ, and have been catapulted into the realm of salvation. This happened purely by the grace of God. The grace of God is the favour of God. It’s something God does and all we have to do is believe Him for it. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, ‘For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.’ Before you believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, God had already crucified Him, and raised Him from the dead over 2 000 years ago. In other words, all human beings on the planet have already been afforded the grace to be saved. All they have to do is act on God’s word by faith, and salvation will be theirs.

Romans 5:2 says, ‘By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.’ We access the grace of God by faith. God has already saved, healed, and prospered all of us in Christ Jesus. Everything is already done. All we have to do is believe God for it. All we have to do is to respond in faith in His word, and God’s favour will begin to work in our lives. When the favour of God is at work in your life, His blessing begins to manifest. To be blessed means to succeed in spite of yourself. Even when you’re supposed to fail, things work out for you anyway. When the favour of God is at work in your life, things might look bleak, people may be against you, but because of God’s grace, you rise to the top anyway.

However, for God’s grace to work in your life, you have to first be aware of it. You have to know it through His word. The second step is to believe it. James 2:26 says, ‘For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.’ Faith without corresponding action is dead. For the favour of God to work in your life, you have to start acting like someone who is favoured by God. Begin to confess that you’re blessed. Instead of talking like everything depends on your effort, start to confess that the favour of God is at work in your life. Hebrews 11:1 says, ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.’ The word ‘hope’ should have been translated as ‘earnest expectation.’ Faith earnestly expects the favour of God to work in its life. Instead of expecting people to hate you, for things not to work out, and for circumstances to get worse, start expecting the favour of God to work in your life. Start expecting closed doors to open in your life. Start expecting the money to come, the spouse to arrive, the sickness to be healed. Start expecting circumstances to change in your favour. Start expecting God’s favour to transform your life, and you will have whatsoever you say. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

The favour of God is at work in my life. I’m the head and not the tail. I’m above always and never beneath. Whatsoever I do prospers. Glory to God!
