The Church Must Remember Who We Are

In this generation, it’s easy for the church to forget its true identity. We are not just another organization, trend, or social group — we are the body of Christ, chosen to carry His light in a dark world.

Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth… you are the light of the world” (Matt. 5:13–16). Salt preserves and gives taste; light reveals and guides. When we compromise who we are, the world loses the flavor and clarity that only God’s people can bring.

The enemy knows this, so he works tirelessly to confuse us about our identity — whispering lies that we are weak, irrelevant, or powerless. But the truth is the opposite.

The church of Christ is God’s unstoppable instrument on earth. Our role is not to blend in, but to stand out, shining brighter in the midst of increasing darkness. This is the century where we must remember who we are and live it boldly.

Reflection: Am I living as light in my workplace, home, and community? Or have I hidden my light under the pressures of culture?
