MIRACLE (47) By B.B.John

Jesus' first miracle was took place in Cana of Galilee where He turned ordinary water to supernatural wine. This miracle has riche lessons for us:

1. Jesus was invited to the wedding. Let's learn to invite Jesus to our our relationships and celebrations; not only to our troubles. We run life at great risk when He is absent. Inviting Him makes room for miracles.

2. Jesus manifested His power and glory in a small village wedding. The lesson here is that God often chooses ordinary places/ people for extraordinary manifestations.

3. When Mary noticed shortage of wine, she spoke to her Son, Jesus about it: "They have no wine'. Thus, let's cultivate the habit of running to Jesus anytime we notice a lack or shortage in our lives, families and relationships.

4. Mary presented the lack of wine without telling Jesus how to fix it. Let's learn to present our needs to Jesus without dictating a method and timing. The miraculous is dictated by divine methods and timing.

5. Mary charged the servants to do whatsoever Jesus ask them to do. Jesus told them to fill six waterpots of stone with water. That's over 120 gallons. They did as instructed. Indeed, it's our obedience that unlocks miracles.

6. Jesus asked the servants to bear the water to the governor. The water became wine - superior wine - while they did so. That's faith. 'Faith transforms the ordinary into extraordinary, lack to abundance, and bitterness to sweetness.

7. The governor's remark shows the wine was the best ever. In Christ's Kingdom, the best often comes last. The Old Covenant came first but Christ brings the better New Covenant wine.

This first miracle unveils Christ's personality, power and glory.
