THEME: A TRANSFORMED LIFE
TEXT: 2Corinthians 3 vs 18
And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. (NIV)
Spiritual growth is not about how long you have been in church or how long you have been a believer. You may have been born again for over a very long time and yet you are not maturing in the Spirit. The hallmark of spiritual maturity is transformation into the image of Christ.
Your growth in the Spirit is not seen in how prayerful you are or how much scripture you can quote but how much of Christ is been revealed in your life and through your life. Your character must be conforming to Character of christ, your understanding and wisdom must be founded on God's word. We must see increased dependence on the guidance of God's word and Spirit.
The fulfillment of your destiny in God is hinged on your transformation. If God can not transform you he can't use you. How effective you become as a tool in God's hands is determined by how much you allowed God to transform you into Christ's image. The new life in Christ can only be actualised when we allow God to transform us by his word and the power of the Holy Spirit.
CONFESSION
I allow God's word to transform me through the power of the Holy Spirit; I am transformed into the image and Likeness of Christ Jesus AMEN
