Heavenly Father, On this Thankful Thursday morning, we pause to lift our voices and hearts to You. Thank You for the breath in our lungs, for the strength in our bodies, and for the peace You give our souls. Your Word declares, “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your steadfast love in the morning, and Your faithfulness by night” (Psalm 92:1-2). Lord, we start this morning by declaring our gratitude for who You are and all that You have done.
Thank You for keeping us through the night and waking us to see a brand-new day. Thank You for the gift of salvation, for the blood of Jesus that cleanses us, and for the Holy Spirit who guides us. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23). Father, we rest in the truth that Your mercy covers us today.
We are grateful for our families and loved ones. Thank You for the protection You place around them, the provision You provide for them, and the plans You have for their lives. As Your Word says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul” (Psalm 23:1-3). Lord, we thank You for being our Shepherd who provides, restores, and leads.
Father, thank You for being our refuge in times of trouble and our strength when we are weak. Thank You for the doors You are opening that no man can shut, and for the blessings You have prepared that we have not yet seen. Your Word reminds us, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). Lord, even in challenges, we thank You because You are working things together for our good.
On this Thursday, we surrender our plans into Your hands. Direct our steps according to Your Word (Psalm 119:133). Fill our hearts with joy, our minds with peace, and our lips with thanksgiving. Teach us to “do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that [we] may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation” (Philippians 2:14-15). May gratitude overflow from us and become a testimony to others of Your goodness.
We give You all the glory and honor for today, Lord. As we go forward, let our hearts echo the words of Psalm 34:1—“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus.
Amen.
