It's the most significant of our beliefs and the cornerstone of our faith. We have believed in vain without it. Let's examine the chief benefits here: 1. It's The Evidence The gate of eternal opened for humanity when Jesus rose from dead. He paid for our sin on the Cross and His resurrection was the payment proof that the price had been fully paid, and the evidence of God's acceptance of His sacrifice. 2. It's Victory Over Death Christ's resurrection was His triumph over death and hades. The grave couldn't hold Him. And, it also foretells the Christian's triumph over death - we only sleep when we depart this world; we do not die. (1 Corinth. 15: 55 - 57) 3. It Gives Us Hope Chris's resurrection secures the hope of eternal life, transformation, revival, and resurrection for those who believe in Him. (1 Peter 1:3; 1 Corinth 6:14; I Thess 4: 14). 4. It's A Mighty Manifestation God's mighty power was revealed by the resurrection of Jesus. It was a mighty demonstration that God's supreme, supernatural force is stronger than Satan's. (Acts 4: 33-34) 5. It Validates Christ's Divinity It was a demonstration of Christ's divine authority and power; the ultimate proof that He is the Son God - the incarnate God - God in the flesh. (Rom. 1: 4) 6. It Fulfills Messianic Prophecy It fulfills Old Testament prophecies and promises regarding the suffering and resurrection of the Messiah. (Isa. 53; Matt. 5:17; Luke 4: 21) 7. It Connects To Forgiveness It is the supernatural connect to forgiveness. You can stand on Christ's death and resurrection to seek for and secure forgiveness of sin.
