Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

I had one idea for today’s post, but as I opened up my computer and typed my opening line, I saw the piles of pictures that my grandkids took. They each have a child-safe camera with a built-in printer. As a matter of fact, the little one just gave me another picture.

But as I was waiting for the screen to load this morning, I noticed the pile of pictures that I was given last night. As I did not look at them then, I flipped through them this morning and was in awe at the presence of God in those pictures.

Yesterday I reminded everyone about the necessity to be like children. But today I want to remind everyone about the vision of children. They have a unique sight into the world. Maybe it has to do with their height, but I believe it has more to do with their heart.

In the stack of pictures that I ruffled through, there were several of the baby, taken by her sister. The fact that they are in black and white make them even better … you can see the pureness of their love. In this stack of pictures, I got glimpses of what they saw as important … each other … mom and dad … opa … the wow wow (dog). I have another stack where I am center focus of about ten consecutive pictures from a tiny height. All of these pictures are absolutely beautiful. Even the ones of the grass, the sky, my house, and the ones that are a mystery because they are blurry from giggles. They are all masterpieces in their own right.

As we get older, we lose that innocence. Maybe it is because when we get taller, we see more of the destruction the enemy has caused. Maybe it is because as we grow older we see how lost the world is and don’t know how to bring it Home. Maybe … maybe it is because we are like Peter who took his eyes of Jesus, saw the storm, and began to sink. Whatever the scenario is in your life, maybe you need to just sit on the floor and see the world from the height of a child.

I am beginning to think that the only perspective that is valid anymore is that of a child. The insight that their hearts hold is priceless.

Today we are having a family day at the zoo. Then an indoor go-cart track. I am sure that I will be sore as can be when the day is done, from the driving, the walking, and most of all … the laughing and loving. By tonight I will be filled with so much of His love I may not need a sleep aid for I will be at such a peace that sleep will come easily.

I want to encourage you to see the world from the height of a child today. A thought, maybe that is why we are told to pray from our knees, that way we are the height of a child? Just a thought.

Be blessed today my friends.

***At that time, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” – Mathew 18:1-2
