Good morning everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

What a beautiful day we had yesterday at the zoo. With the overcast, the temperature was spot on. Not too hot. Not too cool. Gentle breezes throughout the morning. We were even serenaded by a gentleman who loved my hat. He sang us a verse of Amazing Grace. It was a good day. It was a late night, but the adventure was well worth it. We all slept very well cuddled into our pillows.

Today’s post came to me in a dream. It is a little weird, but what else would you expect from me, right?! Now let me see if I can get His message right for you.

I was in an area where there were domes all around. Glass domes. In each of these domes there were people living. Their lives completely exposed to the world around them. But that did not bother them. They went about their business as though the world around them did not matter. The closer I got to each of the domes, I realized that the people in the domes, was not several people, but me. I was in each of the domes. Living inside the world, but not part of the world. Exposing my life to the world with transparency but not allowing the world to enter my life.

There were many domes. Each with a different me, but the same me at the same time. Each me was designed for a different mission or encounter. Each dome presented a different approach to the world around them. The domes were spread out all over the area, and each one created a different encounter.

One dome was me cooking with my grandchildren. Showing them how much I loved spending time with them. Another was that of a difficult situation and how to approach or engage. Yet another was that of a life lost. All the different aspects of life, all the different avenues that we travel. All the different ways that we can show God’s love without falling victim to the chaos of the world.

I am not a fan of Sponge Bob Square Pants, but it gives the best illustration. Sandy the squirrel has a dome at the bottom of the ocean that is filled with her life-giving air. When she leaves the dome, she is in an air-filled suit. When Sponge Bob or Patrick enters her dome, they are in water filled domes of their own. Each cannot survive in the other’s environment without protection. The same is true for us. We cannot survive in the world without the protection of Jesus Christ.

The world will suck the air and life right out of us. We must have our armor on in order to live. That does not mean that we do not go into the world because it is so bad, absolutely not. It means that we need to be covered in His blood and His armor when we venture out into the chaos. He has a specific part of each of us to touch the souls of many. I believe it was Peter who became Greek to speak to the Greeks. Jew to speak to the Jews. And so on. We must adapt to our surroundings and become educated in the customs so that we can effectively communicate with them.

When I try to explain something to a new friend or even my grandkids, I find an area that we both know about and use language that they are familiar with in order to get my point across. So, like in the dream, the domes represent each part of me that God is going to use to meet the world where they are and bring them the Love that He offers.

I do find it funny that He used a cartoon that I cannot stand to make this message today. I hope that you find it humorous as well. Take a few moments and think about the many domes in your life and how many lives you have touched in the transparency of each of them. Remember, each one has a specific purpose and goal … that is to lead as many souls to the Kingdom as possible. Stay true and embrace your dome today.

Be blessed today my friends.
