Morning, August 22nd
Read; 1 Corinthians 15:55
Death can put an end to life. Death can tear people apart. Death has the power to make us give up and lose. But we know that Jesus is alive. We know we will live with Him because He is still alive. We believe that Jesus' victory over death is our victory as well. So, just like Jesus, we laugh at death and its ability to kill us. Through the Gospel, Jesus has destroyed death and given us. Eternal life.
Prayer
Father, I acknowledge that the death of individuals I love still pains me. I thank You that my separation from them will only be for a short period. I thank You, though, that death doesn't remove me for long from people I love and who adore You. Thank You for giving me the victory in Jesus. Thank You, Jesus, for defeating death. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
