Good morning everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
I believe I shared with you before that my little ones these last two weeks have their own fully functional yet kid strong cameras. These cameras are complete with printers, for black and white photos.
Since their unpacking, the kids have provided me with numerous pictures of everything. I have pictures of my chairs. I have pictures of my trees. I have pictures of the dog. I have pictures of our truck. I have pictures of the trees. I have pictures of the fresh corn. I even have pictures of the parking lot of the butcher we went to in Indy. Other photos include, my stairs, the antenna on my house, the gravel in my driveway (searching for gold I am sure) and endless pictures of family.
The black and white brings the nostalgia aspect to the picture and brings in a different feel for what is presented. The impression seen in each scene is on a different level. Then add to it, that these are things that are most important to the eye level of a child, the heart of a child, the love of a child.
I remember getting my first camera. I was so proud. It was a disk camera. They were the rage. You could take action shots, and they would not be blurry. I thought I was something. I believe that I took pictures of just about everything. For the record … my action shots did come out blurry…just saying.
As I flip through these pictures, the love that is present in each of them fills my heart with an abundance of gratitude, an abundance of peace, and an abundance of joy.
I realize that we all have pictures on our phones more than in an album, however, I encourage you to dig into the closet and find that old family album and take a walk down memory lane. Look at the love and care that was taken in each of those memories. Embrace the peace and tranquility of the time.
I have a small plastic tote full of wonderful memories given to me by my grands and the Father. Only God could make this vacation happen. Only God could supply me with this vision. Only God can impart this kind of Love. Only God.
You don’t have any albums? Then sit in silence with your phone photos and remember why you felt it necessary to take them. The picnic. The park. The dinner. The fellowship. I encourage you to remember the Love that He has given you in each of these events. That Love helps in creating today’s peace.
Be blessed today my friends.
*** I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the teachings, just as I passed them on to you. – 1 Corinthians 11:2
