Family in Christ,
I want to share something God has laid on my heart. To be honest, I’ve been running from it for years actually, my whole life. I thought if I did wrong, if I sinned, maybe that voice would go away. But even in the middle of my sin, the calling never left. Now I know it was the Holy Spirit drawing me.
I’ve always felt like I didn’t belong, always trying hard to fit in and be “cool” by the world’s standards. I would drink but not get drunk, smoke but not get high and today I understand why. God’s hand was on me, and His calling was greater than what the world offered.
Even in my youth, God gave me visions. Once, in church, I saw Jesus coming on a cloud with soldiers now I know they were angels. I saw myself in a church on fire for God. I was always scared of His calling, but no matter how far I ran, He kept guiding, protecting, and molding me.
God gave me discernment too the ability to sense when something is real or fake, from the Spirit or just from the flesh. I was always the shy guy at church, never fitting in, not knowing God was setting me apart.
One night, I had a dream where I was praying deliverance over someone. As I prayed for their freedom, I was being delivered at the same time. It was as if I was inside my own body watching the power of Jesus set us both free. When I woke up, I knew it was the Lord.
God has spoken to me in ways I never told anyone before, because I didn’t want to seem “not normal.” But every time, He confirmed His word to me through Scripture. One of the greatest blessings He’s given me is my wife someone I can share these things with, who doesn’t think I’m crazy, but believes with me.
For a long time, I was even afraid to touch or read the Bible. Deep down, I was scared of what God would show me. But today, I’m no longer afraid I hunger for His Word. Instead of fear, He has given me peace and understanding, confirming His truth to me again and again.
Even this morning, God spoke to me about generational curses. He showed me how our trials not only mold us, but also break chains of curses in our families. He reminded me how the courts of Heaven work: God as the Judge, Jesus as our Advocate, and the enemy as the accuser bringing evidence against us. Yet Christ fights for us.
And there’s one more thing I need to confess. Many times, God has told me to speak on certain things. But I would argue with Him and say, “They’re not ready. People will think I’m crazy.” But God asked me, “When will they ever be ready?” And He showed me it’s not for everyone to be ready. Some will laugh, some will reject it, but those who are ready will hear and receive it. That gave me courage to stop hiding.
I’m sharing all this because I can’t run anymore. I don’t want to keep quiet about God’s kingdom and His calling on my life. I need the prayers of the body of Christ prayers for boldness, strength, and protection over me and my family as I step into whatever God is asking me to do.
Thank you for reading. God bless you all.
