Pastor Greg Laurie:
You need to see this video. It was made by a remarkable 17-year-old young man named Cannon Van Daele. Cannon gave his life to Christ at just 12 years old, after watching one of our online Easter services. That alone is a story worth celebrating.
But today, Cannon is facing a heartbreaking challenge: stage 4 liver cancer. And yet—he’s facing it with unshakable faith, courage, and trust in God.I just had the chance to speak with him and pray together. Let me tell you, his joy, strength, and spiritual maturity in the midst of this storm deeply moved me. He’s not bitter. He’s not defeated. He’s a shining example of what real faith looks like. I asked if he had a favorite Scripture he leans on—and without hesitation, he shared this: “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’”— Matthew 19:26 He told me, “That’s the one I go to when I start to doubt. ”What a powerful verse—and what a powerful testimony. So, here’s what I’m asking: if you’re a follower of Jesus, stop what you’re doing and pray. Pray that God would touch and heal Cannon in a miraculous way. Pray for peace, strength, and hope for him and his family. Let’s ask boldly, in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Cannon is an inspiration to me—and I believe he’ll be one to you, too. Let’s lift him up together.
