HOW THE STRONG MAN GAINS CONTROL The strong man does not operate without permission. He gains his power through legal grounds, spiritual loopholes, and established systems of access. Just as God operates on covenant, the kingdom of darkness also respects legal rights and covenants. When these rights are activated—whether knowingly or unknowingly—the strong man is empowered to enforce oppression, stagnation, and captivity. Understanding how the strong man gains control is essential to reclaiming your spiritual freedom and securing lasting deliverance. Access Points for the Strong Man 1. Sin and Iniquity “He that committeth sin is of the devil…” — 1 John 3:8 Persistent sin opens a door for demonic access. Unrepented sin is like a legal contract giving the enemy control over a life or family line. • Sexual immorality • Idolatry • Occult practices • Lying, unforgiveness, bitterness Even “small” sins tolerated over time can invite strong men to set up spiritual control systems. 2. Evil Covenants and Agreements Many are in bondage today because of covenants made by their ancestors—dedications to idols, gods of the land, or blood rituals. These create spiritual ownership, and the strong man defends that ownership fiercely. “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?” — Isaiah 49:24 Yes, they can—but only when the legal grounds are broken. 3. Ignorance of Spiritual Laws “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” — Hosea 4:6 What you don’t know can enslave you. The strong man capitalizes on ignorance—when believers are unaware of spiritual laws, demonic rights, and kingdom principles, they become easy targets. 4. Family and Generational Curses Generational curses are recurring issues passed down through the bloodline. These include: • Chronic poverty • Marital failure • Untimely death • Madness or mental health patterns • Sicknesses that defy medical explanation Behind these may be ancestral strong men enforcing inherited bondage. 5. Unbroken Altars and Idolatry When altars of darkness are still standing in your life or family—whether physical or spiritual—they serve as thrones for strong men. As long as those altars are not overthrown, their priests (strong men) will continue to enforce curses and limitations. How to Break These Access Points 1. Repentance: Close the door of sin and disobedience. 2. Renunciation: Verbally revoke evil covenants and inherited curses. 3. Deliverance: Seek targeted prayers to dismantle strongholds. 4. Holy Living: Commit to a lifestyle that builds divine protection. 5. Spiritual Intelligence: Study God’s Word and apply kingdom principles.
