Date: September 3, 2025
Theme: Wealth, Fruitfulness & Generosity
Series: Kingdom Living
Scripture:
“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate.” — 1 Timothy 6:17–18 (KJV)
Devotional Message: Wealth With Purpose
Is it wrong for a Christian to live lavishly? No. God gives us blessings to enjoy, and He does not want us to feel guilty about them. But He also gave us clear commands on how to handle wealth.
We are told not to be proud, not to put our trust in money (because money can vanish overnight), but to put our hope in God. He is the Source; money is only a resource.
True fruitfulness with wealth is not shown in what we keep, but in what we give. God calls us to be generous, ready to share, and rich in good deeds. Living large is not a sin—but God wants us to also “give large.” A life of hoarding is not fruitfulness; it is waste.
Harvest flows from sowing. When we use wealth to help others, support God’s work, and bless the needy, we plant seeds that will bring eternal harvest.
1. Don’t Be Arrogant
Your worth is not measured by possessions.
“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Matthew 16:26)
2. Put Hope in God, Not Money
Money fades, but God is forever.
“The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” (Proverbs 10:22)
3. Be Rich in Good Deeds
Generosity is real fruitfulness.
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)
4. Wealth With Harvest in Mind
Use resources for kingdom impact.
“He which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.” (2 Corinthians 9:6)
Today’s Reminder:
God blesses you so you can bless others. Don’t just live large—give large.
Prayer Point:
Father,
Thank You for every blessing You have given me. Teach me not to trust in riches but in You. Make me generous, willing to share, and fruitful with all I have. Let my wealth serve Your kingdom and bless others.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
๐ฃ Declaration of Faith:
I am not defined by wealth.
God is my Source.
I am fruitful in generosity.
My giving will produce a lasting harvest.
