From daily devotions Scripture from James comments by me.
James 1:2-4 (KJV)
(2)My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
(3)Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
(4)But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Even thought we are going through diversity temptation we are supposed to be joyful, not in a ha ha happy joy joy way, just joyful that you are going through it so that your faith can be strengthened. And it also take patience because it may be a season before its over but as they say "patience is a virtue". So be patient and wait for God's timing and it will end and then you will be stronger and your faith will be stronger for the next battle that come along.
James 1:5
(5)If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
And if you are lacking in wisdom all you have to do is ask God, and ask with the faith that He will give it to you, and you WILL receive it. And you have to ask if you want it, just as King Solomon asked God for a double portion of wisdom, because he wanted to be able to judge people wisely and discern between good and bad. And God was so pleased and happy of Solomon's request that He gave him the wisdom he asked for and much much more God also gave him riches and honour.
1 Kings 3:9-14 (KJV) (9)
Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
(10)And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.
(11)And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;
(12)Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
(13)And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
(14)And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.
James 1:6-8
(6)But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
(7)For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
(8)A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
So see if you ask do not doubt that you will receive it because a double minded person is as the Bible says" a double minded person is unstable in all his ways.
So remember if you ask for wisdom and you know that God gives it to people freely and have faith even as small as a musters seed then you will receive all the wisdom that you ask for and probably even more that you did not ask for. And just be happy that you are going through the tempest and your faith will be even stronger, then when the next trial comes along, Just remember that God gives all His promises to people who ask and know that God will keep that promise.
