1 Corinthians 9:25-26 KJV
[25] And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. [26] I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
2 Timothy 2:5 KJV
[5] And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
Let's strive for mastery in prayer, being intentional and purposeful. Let's pray for spiritual sight, hearing ears, and an understanding heart. Pay attention to the Holy Spirit's promptings as He guides your prayers. If a burden lingers, stay in prayer until it's lifted. Don't stop when you're tired; stop when you're done. Pray consistently, regardless of feelings, until prayer becomes a joyful discipline.
Pray when you feel like praying, pray when you don't feel like praying, pray until you feel like praying.
