Set Apart for God
Scripture
Exodus 22:31 (NKJV)
And you shall be holy men to Me; you shall not eat meat torn by beasts in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs.
Living as God’s Holy People
In this command, God calls His people to be holy and distinct. Even in the way they ate and handled food, they were to show that they belonged to Him. Holiness is not only about worship but about everyday choices that reflect obedience and devotion.
God still calls His people to live set apart. Holiness means living in a way that reflects His purity, His truth, and His character. It means refusing to be defiled by the world and instead honoring God in all things, big and small.
Holiness is not about perfection but about separation for God’s purposes. When we live holy lives, we show the world that we belong to Him.
Reflection Questions
1. Do my daily choices reflect that I am set apart for God?
2. In what areas of my life is God calling me to live more distinctly for Him?
3. How can I honor God in both my ordinary habits and my spiritual walk?
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for calling me to be holy and set apart. Teach me to honor You not only in worship but in every part of my life. Help me to live in a way that reflects Your character and shows the world that I belong to You. In Jesus name, Amen.
