ARE WE LYING TO GOD, AND TO OURSELVES, ABOUT OUR LOYALTY TO HIM?

He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:4

(A more proper translation is found in the International Standard Version),
which reads; The person who says, “I have come to know him,” but does not continually keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth has no place in that person.

That means keeping ALL TEN Commandments all the time, including the fourth commandment that speaks of keeping the Seventh Day Sabbath (Saturday) HOLY.

He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all *(liars)* shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (HELL)
Revelation 21;7-8
(Emphasis added)

Obedience to God's commandments is a natural result of accepting Jesus Christ as Saviour, by faith and total surrender to Him, and it is through the guidance and power of His Holy Spirit that we can assuredly do just that. It is the result of our love for Him for the Salvation that He has given. Please don't lie to God by saying that " I keep God's commandments" but then only keep nine of them.

For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. James 2:10

Jesus Himself said in John 14: 15, if you love me, keep my commandments.

Overcome the lies of the enemy untill Jesus Christ comes to take us all home, don't let the cares of this world, and the traditions of man, rather than the commandments of God, rob you of the reward of being with Jesus Christ throughout eternity.

With much love to all.
