*Rapture or no rapture.*
People have different views and opinions about the rapture, if there will be one or not and when it will occur, before or after the great tribulation.
Please allow me to explain to you why I personally believe in the pre-tribulation rapture according to Scripture.
*1. Genesis 6*
God saw the wickedness of mankind after the sons of God - "the watchers" took wife's for themselves and giants were born that contaminated their DNA.
God then decided to destroy mankind, but found favor in Noah. God then instructed Noah to build an ark so that he and his family as well as the animals could *escape* the coming judgment of God through the flood.
*2. Genesis 18 and 19*
The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah was so great that God decided to destroy these two cities. Abraham interceded and asked God if He would spare the cities if He could find 50 righteous people in it. But there were none righteous, only Abraham's cousin, Lot. So God sent two angels to warn Lot to get out of the city, they even had to take his and his wife's and two daughters' hands to lead them out of the city so that they could *escape* God's coming judgement.
In both occasions God helped the righteous to *escape* before He poured out His wrath.
*3. Luke 21*
When Jesus spoke to His disciples about the end times He told them in
*Luke 21 : 36*
"Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to *escape* all these things that will come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man."
Why did Jesus tell them to be counted worthy to *escape* what is coming?
Because God's wrath is going to be poured out on the earth during the great tribulation. Revelation chapters 6, 8 and 16.
*1 Thessalonians 5:9* states, "For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ".
