God Sends His Angel

Scripture

Exodus 23:20 (NKJV)
Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.

Guided and Kept by God

In this verse, God assures Israel that they will not journey alone. He promises to send His Angel ahead of them to guard their steps and lead them to the land He had prepared. This was a reminder that their success did not rest on their strength but on God’s presence and guidance.

For believers today, this truth still stands. God goes before His people. He guards, guides, and brings us to the places He has prepared. Through Christ and the Holy Spirit, we are never left to walk alone. Our lives are not random but directed by the One who knows the way.

This verse calls us to walk in trust and obedience, knowing that God is both our protector and our guide.

Reflection Questions

1. Do I truly trust that God goes before me in every season of life?

2. Am I allowing Him to guide my steps, or am I trying to lead my own way?

3. How can I show greater dependence on God’s presence in my daily decisions?

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for going before me and preparing the way. Help me to walk in trust, knowing that You guard me and guide me. Keep me from fear when I cannot see the path ahead and give me faith to follow You with confidence. In Jesus name, Amen.
