Romans 7:18 (KJV) declares, “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.”
This reminds us that apart from Christ, we are empty and powerless, for all righteousness comes only through Him. The only true good in us is not our own works or strength, but Christ living within, as Galatians 2:20 (KJV) says, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.”
The message is clear—without Him we are nothing, but with Him we are made new, filled with His Spirit, and able to walk in His light. Therefore, let us daily surrender ourselves to Jesus, for the only good in us is Christ.
