Ecclesiastes 9:10

Beloved, life is a divine assignment, not a rehearsal. Ecclesiastes 9:10 reminds us that whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might. This means that every opportunity, every task, every responsibility entrusted to you carries eternal weight.

We don’t always get to choose the platform, but we do get to choose the effort we invest. Some wait for “big things” before giving their best, but Scripture teaches that greatness is born out of faithfulness in the small. The way you handle today’s assignment prepares you for tomorrow’s promotion.

Think about it—when David tended sheep, he did it with all diligence, and that prepared him to face Goliath. When Joseph served as a slave in Potiphar’s house, he served with excellence, and that positioned him for the palace. Your diligence is not wasted—it is a seed that heaven records.

The verse also reminds us of the brevity of life: “…for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.” In other words, we have only one lifetime to make an impact. No rehearsal. No second chance after the grave. That means the best time to start giving your best is not tomorrow, but today.

So, whether it is studying, teaching, building a business, serving in ministry, or raising a family, do it with your whole heart. Let excellence, not mediocrity, define your efforts. Passion plus diligence equals lasting impact.

Child of God, never despise the work in your hand right now. Use it as a platform to glorify God, serve humanity, and prepare yourself for higher callings. Remember: God blesses the works of our hands, not the wishes of our hearts.

Therefore, rise today with renewed strength. Refuse half-hearted efforts. Let your work reflect the glory of God, and when your time on earth is done, your legacy will still speak.
