WHAT GOSE IN OUR MIND MATTERS.
My friends, Proverbs 4:23 (KJV) says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
That means we need to be careful not just with the food we eat, but with what we allow into our hearts and minds. What you watch on TV and movies, listen to on the radio, read in books and magazines, and even the people you surround yourself with—these all feed your soul.
Philippians 4:8 (KJV) says, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
If we keep filling ourselves with garbage, it will show in our lives, but if we feed on God’s Word and walk with godly people, our spirit grows strong. So guard your heart, and make sure you’re feeding your soul with the things that bring life.
