Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
First of all, let me thank you all for your wonderful prayers over my father-in-law and my family. The struggle continues. I went down to help the boys in any way that I could, but, understanding my dad’s generation, I remained out of sight so that he wouldn't feel embarrassed. He also put on quite the show for independence. His manners were in place, and he treated me like normal. That is the very best gift that he could have given me … and the boys. This cancer has riddled him so badly that he is but skin and bones. I know that the time is near, I pray that it is quick and peaceful.
As I was sitting in the garage, out of sight, out of mind for dad, I pulled out my computer. It was the weirdest thing. It would turn on; however, when I used the mouse pad on it or the mouse itself, the screen would shut off. Now … if I used the touch screen, it would wake up and I could type, but one misstep with my typing and the screen would shut off again. My computer has never done that. An afterthought was that someone did not like my presence there, nor did they like the projects that I was working on. Remember, I am in the garage, so it is likely that they were there because they could not get into the house. I could not test this theory out of respect for dad. It was just a plausible thought. The weirder thing is that when I got home and turned on my laptop in my office, it tried that same thing, but I did a restart, and it has been fine since.
My giggle is that the enemy got kicked to the curb as soon as he tried to enter my God-covered home. Could have been just a tantrum with my computer, but I know that God is everywhere, and the enemy does not like me. So….
Today kicks off another busy day. Half day at work, then doctors, then mom, then help a friend, then find supper. Literally, find, without the kids here, my fridge looks like we are destitute (we are not). However, the changes in my husband’s medicine seem to be conquering one of his issues, which is allowing him to sleep better. With better sleep, comes better days.
Since today is the dreaded Monday, please note that though I started with some not so bright explanation of our day yesterday, I showed His Love. Though I have another delightfully chaotic day ahead of me today, I did not dwell on those facts, but the beauty of a day to show His Love. Mondays are just another day of the week. The enemy has exasperated them to be more than they are. Today is a gift…that is why it is called the present. See Him in everything today, look past or through the darkness and see only Him.
Be blessed today my friends.
