This is from my daily devotionals scripture is from Ephesians and comments by me.
Ephesians6:10-18
(19 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
(11)Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
(12(For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
(13)Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
(14)Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
(15)And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
(16)Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
(17)And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
(18)Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
This is something I do every time I pick up my phone to play a game because of my addiction its not drugs or alcohol. Its porn and AI and other thing I'm not going to get into right now, so I use this to help me battle my addiction but I'm sure it would help out with others to. Its just a reminder that we are not fighting man or beast but Satan and his minions. So just like in a real war if we are not prepared to do battle we will loose. So if you are fighting an addiction remember find a good Christian support group like CR or(Celebrat Recovery). And suit up and while your reading it, read it as if you are actually putting on the armor yourself, so when it say ye, you or any other second person words use I, and me words as if you are actually putting it on piece by piece. Because it really seemed to help, and if you have aleady put it on pray with faith that God will help out with the temptation, and if you have to put the armor on again. Even if you have to do it multiple times a day then do it and surrender. And if you do this every time you get tempted to use Jesus will help you fight it, so remember its a personal choice if you use again. The Holy Spirit won't make you stop using but it will give you strength to resist.
