Good morning everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
How did your Monday turn out? Were you able to see Light instead of chaos and darkness only. Did problems seem less of an issue to resolve because you made a choice to see the solution instead of the problem?
Through all the challenges and curves thrown at me yesterday, I can honestly say that the day was complete and godly success. Even though ‘my’ plan did not fall into place exactly, the plans of God did.
See, I had overscheduled by mistake and attempted to ward off the extra person, however, her office was having a day Saturday and did not get the message. Where her help was limited to office work, it was well received because the route that needed cased (put up) was one that I had not done … ever. Between the two of us, we were able to successfully get that route ready for the four people who agreed to carry it. Yes, you read that right, four of my employees (3 of whom could have said no because they are full-timers) carried their full and overabundant Monday routes and then carried portions off the open route. The doctor’s appointment went very well, and we got good marks for my husband’s test. After the doctor needed errands were needed completed and in the process friends who needed help from us were able to get it. The one downside … is my father-in-law had a bad day.
Though there were a couple of uglies in the day, itself, was glorious. The temperature was just right. The sun was bright in the sky. Traffic was in our favor. Everyone we encountered was full of life and joy and playful nature. The evening ended with me playing a game of ‘bone tag’ with our pup. She got her nails clipped yesterday so now it is safe for me to roughhouse and not look like one of Freddy Krugar’s victims.
So as you reflect on your Monday events, how did they pan out? If you look at the entire day and do not dismiss the good as whimsical and out of place, but as the focal point of the day, how did your day end? When we stop looking at the good points as, ‘just lucky I guess’, and start looking at them as ‘this is what my day is all about’, then we start seeing the beauty of His Love for us. Our days can only remain dark and chaotic if we allow them to.
Yes, there are going to be dark times. Yes, there are going to be issues that arise that are inconvenient and uncomfortable. Yes, there are going to be accidents that should have been avoided. Yes, there is going to be chaos. However, just because there is a storm, it does not mean we have to sit under the lightning bolt to get struck. We seek shelter in the arms of God and see his presence in the storm. It is not always easy to do, but it is possible.
Be blessed today my friends.
