Why Is This Happening To Me?
There may be times in your life when the pain and heartache is so great that it actually hurts to breathe. You may wonder, why is this happening to me? You may even start to question God and feel as though He's forgotten you. But rest assured, He hasn't. He loves you more than you could possibly know. Unfortunately, being a Christian and living a godly life does not mean that you'll be untouched by the evil in the sinful world we live in. Bad things do happen to good people. There will be pain and suffering until Jesus comes. You can be comforted, though, by God's Word, where in 1 Peter 3:17 it says, “For it is better if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well-doing than for evil doing.” And 1 Peter 4 has a lot to say about suffering. Verses 12 to 14 tell us, “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial, which is to try you as though some strange thing happened unto you. But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings. That when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.” Wow! What a promise! And the good news is, we won't have to wait long. Soon, all suffering will end. There will be no more heartache, tears or pain. Praise the Lord, Jesus is coming again soon.
