Step Five- A Closer Look Into RSV

Matthew 5:37 Let what you say be simply 'Yes' or 'No'; any thing more than this comes from evil.

James 5:12-16 But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath, but let your yes be yes and your no be no, that you may not fall under condemnation.

Is any one among among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful?  Let him sing praise.

Is any any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;

and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects.

Mark 6:7-13 And he called to him the twelve, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits.

He charged them take nothing for their journey except a staff; no bread, no bag, no money in their belts;

but to wear sandals and not put on two tunics.

And he said to them, "Where you enter a house, stay there until you leave the place.

And if any place will not receive you and they refuse to hear you, when you leave, shake off the dust  that is on your feet for a testimony against them."

So they went out and preached that men should repent.

And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many that were sick and healed them.

Mark 16:14-20 Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as the sat at the table; and he unbraided them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen.

And he said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation.

He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

And these signs will accompany those who believe; in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues;

they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands of the sick, and they will recover."

So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them,was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

And they went forth and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs that attended it. Amen
