1 John 2:1-14 My little children, I am writing this to you so that you may not sin; but if any one does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;
and his is the expiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
And by this we may be sure that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
He who says "I know him" but disobeys his commandments is a liar; and the truth is not in him;
but whoever keeps his word, in him truly love for God is perfected, By this we may be sure that we are in him;
he who says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.
Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning; the old commandment is the word which you have heard.
Yet I am writing you a new commandment, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shinning
He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness still.
He who loves his brother abides in the light, and in it there is no cause for stumbling.
But he who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his sake.
I am writing to you fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning, I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you children, because you know the Father.
I write to you fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
Isaiah 2:1-5 The word which I-sai'ah the son of A'moz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it,
and many peoples shall come, and say; "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths." For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
O house of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the LORD.
Proverbs 28:10-14 He who misleads the upright into an evil way will fall into his own pit; but the blameless will have a goodly inheritance.
A rich man is wise in his own eyes, but a poor man who has understanding will find him out.
When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; but when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.
he who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.
Blessed is the man who fears the LORD always; but he who hardens his heart will fall into calamity.
1 John 5:6-13 This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ, not with the water only but with the water and the blood.
And the Spirit is the witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
There are three witnesses, the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree. If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for this is the testimony that he has borne witness to his Son.
He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God had borne to his Son.
And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He who has the Son has life; he who has not the Son of God has not life.
I write this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
