Heavenly Father, On this beautiful Thursday morning, we pause to lift our hearts in thanksgiving to You. Your Word reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” Lord, we thank You for life, for health, for family, and for the breath in our lungs this morning. Great is Your faithfulness and new are Your mercies every day (Lamentations 3:22-23).
Father, today we choose to walk in gratitude. We thank You for protection through the night, for provision in our homes, and for peace in our hearts. Your Word declares in Psalm 118:24, “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” So, Lord, we rejoice in You, knowing that every blessing comes from Your hand.
Special Remembrance – 9/11
Lord, today we also bow in remembrance of September 11, 2001. We remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who sacrificed to save others. Your Word says in John 15:13, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Lord, we honor those who showed courage and love that day.
We lift up the families who still carry the pain of loss. Bring them comfort as You promised in Matthew 5:4, “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” Lord, heal the brokenhearted and remind us all to seek unity, compassion, and peace as a nation. May we never forget, and may we walk humbly before You with a heart of love for our neighbor.
Father, bless our Thursday with Your presence. Guide our steps according to Proverbs 3:5-6, as we trust in You with all our hearts. Strengthen us to be light in a dark world and to show gratitude not just in words but in deeds. Keep our families safe, our hearts pure, and our faith strong.
We give You all the praise, honor, and glory.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
