Romans 7:13-18 Did that which is good, then, bring death to me? By no mean! It was sin, working death in me through what is good, in order that sin might be shown to be sin, and though the commandment might become sinful beyond measure.
We know that the law is spiritual; but I am carnal, sold, under sin.
I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do everything I hate.
Now if I do what I do not want, I agree that the law is good.
So it is no longer I that do it, but sin which dwells within me.
For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot do it.
Philippians 2:12-18 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
for God is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Do all things without grumbling or questioning,
that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.
Even if I am to be poured out as a libation upon the sacrifical offering of faith. I am glad and rejoice with you all.
Likewise you also should be glad and rejoice with me.
Romans 12:1-2 I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as i living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Lamentations 3:37-45 Who has commanded and it came to pass, unless the Lord has ordained it?
Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that good and evil come?
Why should a living man complain, a man, about the punishment of his sins?
Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the LORD!
Let us lift up our hearts and hands to God in heaven;
We have transgressed and rebelled, and thou hast not forgiven.
Thou hast wrapped thyself with anger and pursued us, slaying without pity;
that hast wrapped thyself with a cloud so that no prayer can pass through.
Thou hast made us offscouring and refuse among the peoples.
