THE ADVENT TRUTH
SEPTEMBER 12TH

The shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk has sent shockwaves through the nation — and through the evangelical world. Many are heartbroken and outraged, and understandably so. But as prophecy shows, this kind of anger can easily be manipulated by the enemy to set the stage for the final crisis over worship and allegiance to God.

Revelation 13 tells us of a time when a “beast” power will unite church and state, enforcing laws that seem good on the surface but ultimately lead to the mark of the beast. For decades, evangelical leaders have been calling to “bring God back to America,” but now their cries are growing louder and more urgent than ever. Tragedies like this make many believe the solution is to pass religious laws — laws that will soon include Sunday sacredness as a sign of loyalty to God and country.

But Scripture warns that true loyalty to God is shown through loving obedience to His commandments (John 14:15), including the Sabbath, the seventh day (Exodus 20:8–11). Any man-made substitute, no matter how patriotic or well-intentioned, becomes rebellion when enforced by law. This is how Revelation 13’s prophecy will be fulfilled — through fear, anger, and a desperate attempt to fix the nation through legislation.

We are watching the pieces move into place. As emotions run high, we must remember that Jesus’ kingdom is not of this world (John 18:36). Our mission isn’t to win earthly battles, but to call people to worship the Creator and prepare for His soon return (Revelation 14:6-7). The assassination of a national figure like Charlie Kirk is heartbreaking, but it is also a warning: the final events will come suddenly, and we must be spiritually ready.

Don’t be swept away by fear or politics. Stand firm on God’s Word and follow the Lamb wherever He goes. The time to choose whom we serve is now.
