Fear God Only Deuteronomy 31:12-1 Samuel 12:15 NKJV
Deuteronomy 31:12-13 "Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the LORD your God and carefully observe all the words of this law,
"and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear the LORD your God as long as you live in the land which you cross the Jordan to possess.
Joshua 4:19-24 Now the people came up from the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and they camped in Gilgal on the east border of Jericho.
And those twelve stones which they took out of the Jordan, Joshua set up in Gilgal.
Then he spoke to the children of Israel, saying, "When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying,'What are these stones?'
"then you shall let your children know, saying, 'Israel crossed over this Jordan on dry land';
"for the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up before us until we had crossed over,
"that all the peoples of the earth may know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty, that you may fear the LORD your God forever."
Joshua 22:21-25 Then the children of Reuben, the children of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh answered and said to the heads of the divisions of Israel:
"The LORD God of gods, the LORD God of gods, He knows, and let Israel itself know-- if it is in rebellion, or if in treachery against the LORD, do not save us this day.
"If we have built ourselves an altar to turn from following the LORD, or if to offer on it burnt offerings or grain offerings, or if to offer peace offerings on it, let the LORD Himself require an account.
"But in fact we have done it for fear, for a reason, saying, 'In time to come your descendants may speak to our descendants, saying, "What have you to do with the LORD God of Israel?
"For the LORD has made the Jordan a border between you and us, you children of Reuben and children of Gad. You have no part in the LORD." So your descendants would make our descendants cease fearing the LORD.'
