Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
Not sure about you all, but I am one of those who loves a thunderstorm. I remember my first campout with the Boy Scouts as a leader; they told us that a major storm system was headed our way. I let the scoutmaster know that he will have to work hard to wake me up, because that was my kind of sleep weather. (fyi, that night tornado sirens went off … very good alarm clock haha)
I have found that when my mind will not shut off at night, if I play thunderstorm soundtracks, I sleep like a baby. It has been wonderful. However, last night, it created an opposite effect. To be honest, an almost sickening effect to my stomach. It wasn’t until I found my favorite Christian Harp music video, that my mind and my stomach settled down and I was able to fall asleep.
When I awoke this morning, I realized that I was living in a storm (from several fronts). The thunderstorm noises had become an entry point for the enemy to accentuate the chaos and the noise. Reflecting, I understand how true that is. The thoughts as I tried to settle my brain were that of our country’s current situation.
Yesterday the news reported that the alleged assassin (the boy has not been tried or convicted) was in a relationship with a boy transitioning to be a girl. Then straight off from there … THE LEFT.
Stop. Just stop. Get off this political roller coaster. This was just evil.
The partner had to of known. Did they? Did they really have that knowledge? Or …. Here is a thought, did the shooter think that he was doing something to show love and support to their partner? Did the alleged shooter think that they were protecting or honoring their partner…because of the lies that Satan has planted in his mind … with logic.
Satan has a very good way of making the evil or vile thing look right and righteous. Have YOU never had a thought that you acted on and later regretted? Maybe it was not murder, but remember, sin is sin.
I saw an interview with an actor once who said that the hated Black History Month. He said that it was ridiculous and only perpetuates separation and racism. He said there is not a White History month, or a Jewish history month … why did they did they need to make a Black History month. Later in the interview he stated that when he set before the interviewer, he did not see a white Jewish man, he saw a man … why did he need to be seen as a black man – why not just a man.
We are all part of the Human Race … we all bleed red … If we can come to that conclusion … at least partially … then why on earth cannot we not as nation … a body of Christ … get off this political soap box and just call this act of violence for what it is and where it came from … Evil … from the pits of Hell.
Once we call it out for what it truly is, then we can face it for it is. Spiritual warfare. How do you combat spiritual warfare, with the Love of Christ.
There are many people who do not agree with my Christian beliefs, my political views, or my personal habits. The attitude is reciprocated, but that does not mean that I do not love them or that I do not want them to spend eternity in heaven with me. I can disagree with you and still love you. I can have a different opinion than you and still love you. I can have a debate with you, treat you with dignity and respect, be completely on another page and still love you.
When WE, the Christian, earnestly start putting His Love first, then we can continue to build the Kingdom one soul at a time. This thought has nothing to do with Charlie Kirk, it has nothing to do with the shooter, it has everything to do with what we are commanded to do … share the gospel, speak truth, and build the Kingdom of God … one soul at a time.
I encourage you to get off the left and right train and exchange your ticket for the Jesus train.
Be blessed today my friends.
***Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age. – Matthew 28:18-20
