The Word of God warns us of a day that is surely coming, a day when the Lord will deal with the proud and the wicked, for it is written: “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch” (Malachi 4:1 KJV).
This is a prophetic reminder that sin will not go unpunished, and God’s judgment is certain, yet in His mercy He calls us now to repentance and faith in Christ, that we may be spared from wrath and receive everlasting life, for “the Lord is not slack concerning his promise… but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV).
And the Scripture further declares, “For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Revelation 6:17 KJV). Today is the day to choose Him, while there is still time.
