A Love So Vast
For God so loved the world, a boundless space,
That He did give His Son, His only grace,
To walk among the dust and weary lands,
A perfect truth held in a mortal's hands.
That all who look upon the cross, and see
The final breath of pure humility,
Shall not be lost in everlasting night,
But live in Him, and walk in endless light.
The world He made, He could not see undone,
And so He gave His most beloved Son;
A love not earned, but given to mankind,
A saving hope for every heart and mind.
For in His name, a promise is made true:
A life beyond the sorrow we pass through.
Not born of flesh, but of the Spirit's call,
To rise with Him, and never fear the fall.
