I know that what I’m about to write may not sit well with everyone, but I feel an overwhelming urgency to speak out. Your approval isn’t necessary because I write under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. If I fail to share this message, I would be held accountable by God for not heeding His call.
I've listened to many of my brothers and sisters who have convinced themselves that Hell either doesn’t exist or is merely a self-imposed state. Let me be absolutely clear: Hell is real, and Jesus spoke about it with grave sincerity. Your belief, or lack thereof, does not change its existence. Hell is a critical part of God’s divine plan.
In Luke 16, Jesus shares the haunting parable of the rich man and Lazarus. The rich man, cloaked in luxury, ignored the suffering of Lazarus, a beggar at his gate. When they both died, Lazarus was welcomed into Abraham's bosom (paradise), while the rich man found himself in the torment of Hell, crying out for mercy. He pleaded for a drop of water to cool his tongue, tormented by flames. Abraham reminded him of the choices he made during his life, illustrating the irreversible divide that now separated them. Desperate, the rich man begged for Lazarus to warn his family, but Abraham insisted they already had the teachings of Moses and the prophets to guide them.
Jesus emphasized that it is crucial for His followers to understand the reality of Hell and the judgment that follows this life. For those who claim Hell is self-imposed, I urge you to reconsider: Hell is self-inflicted. It was never meant for humanity; it was created for Lucifer and the fallen angels. Yet, tragically, many will find themselves there because of their refusal to believe the truth.
Heavenly Father’s plan is one of love: to bring about our immortality through the atonement of Christ. In this life, we have the precious opportunity to learn, grow, and draw closer to Him. Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins, allowing us the chance to return to His loving embrace. However, the enemy is hard at work, lulling many, even Christians, into the false belief that God's love means there are no consequences. This is a dangerous lie; Hell will not be filled with those that God rejected, but with those who have turned their backs on Him.
We are all here because we accepted God's plan to learn to follow Him in faith. This is why it’s impossible to please Him without faith. So, what is the purpose of Hell if ultimately we all receive some measure of glory? Hell serves as a form of purification, much like the refining of gold and silver. Just as these precious metals must endure fire, so too must our spirits be refined. We have the chance to learn obedience in this life, and while it may seem challenging, it pales in comparison to the suffering that awaits the unrepentant.
Jesus paid the price for our sins with His blood so that we would not have to bear the cost of sin, which is death and Hell. But the choice is ours; He will not force us. Will you choose life, or will you choose death? This life is a profound test: will you embrace Christ or reject the incredible gift He offers you?
God loves each one of us who is willing to humble ourselves, submit to His will, and turn away from sin. Repentance is not just a suggestion; it is essential for finding forgiveness. Without repentance, there can be no cleansing of sin. It is our duty to proclaim Christ and testify of His love, even within our own homes, so that our children understand where to seek forgiveness.
The Holy Spirit will bear witness to the truth of what I’ve written here. If you find my words unsettling, I urge you to take them before God, for these are His truths, not mine.
