He was exposing the danger of following leaders who are spiritually blind—those who focus on traditions and outward religion but ignore God’s truth. Without true spiritual sight from God, both leaders and followers end up lost. Apply: In our lives, this teaches us to be careful about who we follow and listen to. Not every teacher, influencer, or leader leads according to God’s Word. We must seek guidance from Christ, the true Light, and measure everything by Scripture. By staying rooted in God’s truth, we avoid being misled and can also help guide others toward the right path. Respond: Father God in heaven I love You. So many doctrines that came out of nowhere. Help us distinguish between what is right and what is wrong. Help us not to get lead to another teaching and make us rooted in Your word. In Jesus name my Helper I pray, Amen.
