Why does God allow us to suffer from affliction. Scriptures from Malachi, and James and comments by me.

Just because we are believers, and followers of Christ dose not mean we will not suffer from affliction.
Because the righteous as well as the unrighteous will, and do suffer from affliction.
And one reason we suffer affliction is to strengthen our faith and make us stronger then we were before.
Because look at Job he was counted a very righteous man and he suffers all kinds of affection from the lost of his flocks, and his children to painful boiled all over his body. But Job came through it richer and strongr then befor he did before God allowed Satan to cause afflictions on Job. And another reason we suffer from affliction is because of someone else's sin. Just look at Joseph when he was sold into slavery he suffered affliction because of his brothers sins. And when it was all said and done Joseph also came out richer and stronger and even more powerful the before God allowed him to suffer. Once we are saved it does not mean a pain free life. God uses our afflictions to refine and to strengthen our faith.

Malachi 3:3
And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

And I know it seems wrong to say its a joy to suffer afflictions but we are supposed to count it as a joy when afflictions come up on us, because its building our faith and our patience.

James 1:2-5

(2)My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
(3)Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
(4)But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
(5)If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

So please remember just because we suffer from afflictions doesn't mean that God has abandoned us to suffer with out a good cause its because He want to build up our character, our faith and our patience. So don't think just because we are baptized and become followed of Christ we will have an easy and pain free life, it just means that we must mean that we are on the right track or Satan's minions wouldn't have an interest in you, so keep working through your afflictions and build your faith, character, and patience. And you will come out richer and stronger in our faith.
