Day 3 – Freedom with Responsibility
Theme: Liberty tied to virtue
Scripture:
Galatians 5:13 – “Do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”
Nehemiah 2:17 – “Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace.”
Story:
Charlie often said that freedom without morality destroys itself. True liberty, he argued, is not license but responsibility. Nehemiah shows us this principle: the walls of Jerusalem lay in ruins until people took responsibility to rebuild. Likewise, we are stewards of the freedoms entrusted to us.
Reflection:
Do I use my freedom for self-indulgence, or do I use it to serve God and others?
Prayer:
“Lord, help me cherish freedom not as a right to do anything, but as a gift to do what is right. Teach me responsibility, self-discipline, and love for others.”
