Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Today I am going to go a little outside the box, a little bit outside of the coloring lines, a little bit out of nowhere. To those new to reading my posts, just hang in there; you will see at the end. For those who are used to my posts, grab a cup of coffee. Here I go again.

Toenails. Today, we are going to talk about toenails. They are a sneaky little necessity that tends to grow without any effort, any acknowledgement that they are there, or any regard to what they are doing to socks. Toenails. The silent destroyer.

Because of my fluff pillow around my midsection, tending to my toenails is a bit of a challenge. A challenge that I do not enjoy accomplishing … if I am being honest. I tend to just not worry about them until I need to. Then, I may not do anything because it is not catastrophic. Even then, I may prolong getting involved, because the challenge to tend to my ever-growing toenails is not a priority. I think about and say I will do it at the time, then that time comes, and I either forget or choose until something catches my eye, and then I set another time, to which ultimately gets ignored also. The only thing that I accomplish by ignoring my very much growing to the death of my socks toenail growth, will be an expense to replace socks. When I do finally get around to tending to these coverings of my naked toe, the nail will have hardened and will be an even bigger challenge to trim down.

Toenails, the silent sock killer.

By chance, does anyone else see the correlation between toenails and our present society?

Evil has crept into our normal, everyday lives because we were silent when we saw the beginning, dismissing it as a phase that would die out. Evil became the standard because we did not want to be too pushy. Evil became accepted because we did not block its path. Evil is growing like unattended toenails and soon, we will need to replace society (socks).
My toenails, when I curl my toes, can scrape the floor. That is too long. That is the prequel to needing new socks. Evil is now considered the norm. Acceptable. Commonplace… just ignore it. It did not instantaneously happen. Satan didn’t just pop in one day and say watch this. He waited, plotted, and grew a little at a time because Christians did not want to trim him back. Now, everywhere you go, you cannot help but see the devastation.

BUT. There is hope. Get out your toenail clippers and start cutting through the nails of evil. Take the time to talk about anything with the one person that you don’t like talking to. Show them that, though you disagree on everything, you can agree that toenails are the silent killer of socks. Look at the outcast, silent one, and offer them a cup of coffee. Randomly call out to someone that it is National Hug A Stranger day and ask to give them a hug (done this .. it is phenomenal). Notice that evil is everywhere, and instead of buying into the evil, offer Love. Trim those nails, one clip at a time.

A single act of kindness can change a movement. Your single act, plus your neighbor’s single act, plus my single act, we can change the path of our societal socks.

Be blessed today my friends.
