Ezekiel 34:1-6 Comparing KJV Dake, KJV Simplified, Douay-Rheims, ANL Moffatt (old), NCV Bibleman, TLB Tyndale Pocket, ESV Lutheran SB, LSB, New JPS Tanakh, JPS Tanakh English
Ezekiel 34:1-6 KJV Dake AND the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Son of man, prophecy against the shepherds of Is'ra-el, prophecy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Is'ra-el that do feed themselves; should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed; but ye feed not the flock.
The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.
And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd; and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered.
My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill; yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them.
Message to the Faithless Shepherds of Israel
Ezekiel 34:1-6 KJV Simplified And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
"Son of man, prophecy against the shepherds of Israel; prophecy, and say to them, 'This is what the Lord GOD says to the shepherds: "Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
You eat the fat, and you clothe yourselves with the wool; you kill those who are fed, but you do not feed the flock.
You have not strengthened the diseased, nor have you healed what was sick, nor have you bound up what was broken, nor have you brought back what was driven away, nor have you sought what was lost--but with force and cruelty you have ruled them.
And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd. And when they were scattered, they became food for all the beasts of the field.
My flock was scattered on all the face of the earth, and no one searched or sought after them."'"

Ezekiel 34:1-6 Douay-Rheims AND the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
Son of man, prophecy concerning the shepherds of Israel: prophecy, and say to the shepherds; Thus saith the Lord God; Woe to the shepherds of Israel, that fed themselves; should not the flocks be fed by the shepherds?
You ate the milk, and you clothed yourselves with the wool, and you killed that which was fat; but my flock you did not feed.
The weak you have not strengthened, and that which was sick you have not healed, that which was broken you have not bound up, and that which was driven away you have not brought again, neither have you sought that which was lost: but you ruled over them with rigour, and with a high hand.
And my sheep were scattered, because there was no shepherd: and they became the prey of all the beasts of the field, and were scattered.
My sheep have wandered in every mountain, and every high hill: and my flocks were scattered upon the face of the earth, and there was none that sought them, there was none, I say, that sought them.
