Faith is a foundational biblical concept of trusting God's character and word to respond to salvation through Jesus Christ, which is enabled by His grace and the Holy Spirit. Our faith is grounded in what Christ has already done. The life, death, and resurrection of Christ is active in every aspect of the believers life. What he did on the cross gave us a position of authority thats directly from the right hand of the father. When Jesus said we could speak to the mountain in Mark 11:23, that was from a position of authority. It operates by His character and authority. The object of faith is not in our words, but in God’s character and authority. One small twist in our interpretation and the object of faith becomes the words that we speak, instead of the power and authority of God by which we operate. We reflect His character and purpose. We place our faith in Christ and what He has done on the cross.
