A Living Hope NKJV

Colossians 1:3-8 We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints;

because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,

which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

as you also learned from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf.

who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.

James 1:12-18 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.

But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.

Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

Job 23:8-12 "Look, I go forward, but He is not there, And backward, but I cannot perceive Him;

When He works on the left hand, I cannot behold Him; When he turns to the right hand I cannot see Him.

But He knows the way that i take; When he has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.

My foot has held fast to His steps; I have kept His way and not turned aside.

I have not departed from the commandments of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth More than my necessary food.

2 Peter 1:16-21  For we did not follow  cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but where eyewitnesses of His majesty.

For he received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory; "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.

And we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and morning star rises in your hearts;

knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is on any private interpretation,

for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the holy Spirit.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Ephesians 3:8-11 To me, whom am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ;

to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,

according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,
