A Lively Hope KJV
James 1:12-18 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man;
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Then when lust has conceived, it bringeth forty sin; and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Do not err, my beloved brethren.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
Job 23:8-12 Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward but I cannot perceive him;
On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him; he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:
But he knoweth the way that that I take; when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
2 Peter 1:16-21 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Je'-sus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
We have also a more sure word of prophesy; where-unto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts;
Knowing this first, that no prophesy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
For the prophesy came not in old time by the will of man; but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Ephesians 3:8-11 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gen'-tiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Je'-sus Christ;
To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.
According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Je'-sus our Lord:
