The Unforgivable Sin Against the Holy Spirit

Jesus said: “Every sin can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven” (Matthew 12:31–32).

What does this mean?
It’s not about making mistakes, doubting, or even falling into sin. The unforgivable sin is a persistent rejection of the Holy Spirit’s witness about Jesus Christ.

The Spirit leads us to salvation. If someone continually refuses Him, they shut the only door to forgiveness—Jesus.

Don’t be afraid: if you’re concerned about committing this sin, that’s a sign you haven’t. Your heart is still sensitive to God.

The real danger isn’t accidentally committing it, but ignoring the Spirit’s call until your heart grows too hard to respond.

Today, if you hear His voice, don’t harden your heart. Run to Jesus while the door of mercy is open.
