THE BIBLICAL FESTIVALS OF GOD - THE CIPHER OF ALL AGES There is a Free book where we go into details to explore the Festivals and their hidden meanings as it applies to Jesus Christ and us, the New Testament believers. The link to the book is at the end. This is one of the most profound ciphers in the Bible, and I'd be highlighting parts of it with reference to the book. To put it briefly, the Biblical Festivals which God commanded in Leviticus 23:1-44 are a dress rehearsal to remind us of CREATION, the plan of REDEMPTION, the promise of RESTORATION and the guarantee of RETRIBUTION. And in this well Scripted masterpiece of God, there are dual fulfillments that apply first to Jesus Christ, and then as a pattern for us to follow. In the book you'll discover that the first Festival, which is the weekly Sabbath (Lev 23:3), that originated after CREATION (Gen 2:1-3, Exodus 20:8-11), ought to have been the only Festival mankind needed. But after the fall into sin, God instituted the other festivals to showcase His masterpiece plan to REDEEM and RESTORE His Creation, and also to bring about judgment and RETRIBUTION to all who rebel against Him. In the book we get to talk about the RETRIBUTION, but it wasn't highlighted like the other two “R’s” (i.e. REDEMPTION and RESTORATION). So this post would better highlight the aspect of RETRIBUTION, which is mainly connected to the last three Fall Festivals. THE SPRING FESTIVALS The first set of Spring Festivals, i.e. the Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of Firstfruit and Feast of Weeks (Pentecost), are mainly connected to the REDEMPTIVE plan of God, and they contain intricate details of Jesus’s coming, Passion, death and Resurrection. Unveiling these ciphers associated with the Festivals provides a deeper appreciation and understanding of how Jesus Christ came to fulfill the Law and the Prophets (Matt 5:17-18). However, just as Jesus Christ is the primary fulfillment of REDEMPTION and RECONCILIATION (Rom 5:9-11), God has also enlisted us to co-labor with Him and bring others to RECONCILIATION (1 Cor 3:9, 2 Cor 5:18-20). Observe the similarity, just as Jesus Christ was sent into the world, so also have we been sent into the world (John 20:21). And just as Jesus Christ was willing to lay down His life for us, so also should we be willing to lay down our lives for others (John 15:12-13, 1 John 3:16-18). This involves us being living sacrifices and willing to be of service to others (Rom 12:1, 9-17, *Matt 20:25-28*). But it could also call for the ultimate sacrifice of one literally dying for the sake of others. If it ever comes to that, have no fear your victory in Christ is already secure (1 Cor 15:55-58, Heb 2:14-15, Rev 12:11, Heb 10:39, 1 John 4:16-21). Still on similarities, just as Jesus Christ had a Kingly and Priestly ordination according to the Zechariah prophecy which we saw earlier on, so also have we been made to be kings and priests onto God (Exo 19:6, Rev 5:10, 1:5-6, 1 Peter 2:4-5, 9-10). Jesus Christ is our King, and we are destined to be kings reigning alongside Him (Rev 20:6, 2 Tim 2:11-12); Hence He is the King of kings (Rev 19:16). So you can see that understanding the mystery behind the Biblical festivals not only gives you insights to better understand and appreciate the achievements of Jesus Christ, but it also provides you with the ancient Script that perfectly mirrors the New Testament commands we have as Christians. ...
